The reel body is designed in a so-called offset center of gravity shape and made of durable, rigid carbon fiber. It houses a powerful mechanism for a reel of this size.
The main gear of the reel is based on the Golden Catch AIRONE feeder reel, featuring a 32mm aluminum drive gear and a brass driven gear. The driven gear is mounted on two support ball bearings. This solution, in addition to providing smooth rotation, virtually eliminates play in the reel rotor and prevents the main gear from jamming under load. This solution also positively affects the longevity of the MIRROX reel.
The line lay mechanism in the Golden Catch MIRROX reel uses an oscillation drive with a reduction gear for the idle gear. This slows the spool's oscillation speed, resulting in tight line lay. The precisely designed S-shaped oscillation groove combined with the correctly selected idle gear rotation speed ensures high-quality line lay.
The Golden Catch MIRROX reel is equipped with 5 high-quality ball bearings and one roller bearing for instant anti-reverse.
The reel is equipped with a metal shallow spool with a lip profile that minimizes the chance of line loops and improves line release during casting.
