Description Golden Catch Rod Endorfin
Golden Catch Endorfin model range includes three rods: the shortest model 610UL-S with a length of 2.08 and casting weight up to 4 grams. In the middle there is the model 742 in a length of 2.24 and a casting weight up to 10 grams, while the longest, the model 842 is made in a length of 2.54 and has a casting weight up to 14 grams.
Let's start with the general characteristics for all three models and firstly of course about the blanks. They are made of Toray carbon mix with 40T and 46T modulus. Thanks to high-modulus carbon, the spinning rods are very fast, rigid, sensitive and lightweight.
One of the key features of the rods GC Endorphin is the insert, which fulfills an important role in their performance and greatly expands the fishing possibilities. It is not a classic soft solid but also not so strict toothpick, it is moderately soft and rigid.
The insert here is the main tool of animation and control of the lure in the low and medium casting weight. It allows you to set subtle animation, draw delicate leaders and get maximum information about the bottom and everything that happens at the other end of the line.
At the same time, when you need to make a confident lift of heavy mount – transition from solid tip in the blank comes into play and the spinning lifts the lure thanks to the rigid high-modulus blank. As a result, the angler gets a rod with a very wide working casting weight.
Well, we've covered the blanks. Now let's talk about what helps to keep the performance characteristics, namely, the components. Of course, for top ultra-light and light class rods there is no alternative to Torzite from Fuji. The thin frames in titanium mount are very light and thanks to their low weight the rod is highly assembled in dynamics – during casting and animation there are no parasitic oscillations, and the cast itself turns out to be accurate and predictable. Also, small runners provide excellent bait control in strong winds. In addition to Fuji guides, the endorphins are rigged with VSS reel seats.
Now let's dig deeper and talk about the features of each specific model.
610UL-S is the junior model in the series. Length of the rod is 2.08m, casting weight is up to 4 grams, total weight is 79 grams.
The 610 model is an excellent micro-jigging rod. Its casting weight is from 0.6-0.8 grams to the top 4 with a reserve for the bait. This short rod is ideal for fishing at close distances. At the same time, thanks to the low weight and extreme sensitivity it allows you to enjoy fishing even a very small perch.
Model 742L-S is made in the length 2.24, casting weight of 0.9-10g, and total rod weight of 89 grams.
In short, it's a perfect all-purpose rod. The working casting weight of the model 74 starts from one gram and ends with 10 grams, thanks to the solid tip and the geometry of its transition into the blank. Therefore, this spinning rod fully covers two ranges – light and ultralight, with the only exception of the length – 2.24 is not enough for fishing at a long distance.
And last but not least model 842ML-S.
Rod length is 2.54, casting weight is from 2g to 14g, total weight is 99g.
The longest and most powerful model of the range is designed for light fishing at long and medium distances. The rod is primarily designed for jig fishing and perfectly copes with complex lure animation. Fishing comfort starts from 2 grams, and the top of the casting weight marked as 14 grams can also be considered optimal. The blank is perfectly loaded at casting allowing you to make very long casts. It also works perfectly with the fish when retrieving, although this is typical for all rods of the series.
